Originally from the midwest I moved to the bay area in 1971 after several years at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Kansas City Art Institute. I now live in San Jose and have a painting, printmaking and digital arts studio at my home. I have been working professionlly in the art field for the last thirty-two years and began painting in earnest in 1980. I discovered monotypes in 1985 which led me to pursue exhibiting my work nationwide. I have also done design work of various natures for Fresh Choice, Inc., Marketshare, Inc., Shea Homes, Union Pacific Homes and private parties.

The latest direction in my work began seven years ago and continues to inspire me onwards. Abstract acrylic paintings are my strongest focus right now. My inspiration comes from combining nature in all it's forms with philosophies embracing a more conscious lifestyle. I want my work to symbolically illustrate the life journey everyone experiences.

I am also excited about being a part of WORKS/San Jose as their Programming Commitee Chair. In the next year I hope to increase my skills in the digital art field and create some exceptional paintings as well.
